FF Team-In-One

The FF stands for Fox Features Syndicate, a strong inspirations for 's universe of characters.
I love that he created Rockslab, a a rock solid guy inspired by Marvel's Thing, who even has his own catch phrase "It's Smashing Time". He appeared in his recent, epic Christmas Special comic, and had a great chemistry with Max Atom.

Honestly, I had considered making Max Atom kind of a baddie, given behaviour back on Earth-K, as portrayed in his wiki. But the way Jay portrayed him in the very upbeat and fun story makes me reconsider, wanting in fact to explore that friendship more.

In any case, I love the Thing and the 70s period of Marvel Comics, very comforting mediocrity in many cases, and the Thing was such a friendly, gruff, good buddy guy who was a star with his own series! In many ways, he symbolizes to me that bygone Marvel era.
So I decided Rockslab needs his own Team Up comic, and who better than two characters from the Christmas Comic– Max Atom himself, and Terry Tornado. I drew them in their outfits from that night, imagining that this adventure could take place right after that evening.
